Hi Pam,

Nice to hear from you. Your research sounds very interesting and I would love to learn more about your findings. Feel free to use the anecdote in your presentation.

Have a great year!

As a high school teacher in BC who is in the throes of learning how to involve my students in web 2.0, and has a daughter who will be attending the SAME high school in the fall, I absolutely love your perspective on 'teachers are using it'. I am about to research the difference between teacher-directed web interactions and student-directed ones. I'm presenting to my Simon Fraser University cohort in a couple of weeks and would love to use your anecdote...may I?

Demented, maybe. Addicted, definitely. If not, just wait until someone tells you about the Geocacher Rankings web site. Then you'll really want to get your numbers up.

The video of the kids in action adds so much to the post. Neat idea - thanks for sharing!

Have you seen this site - http://metaatem.net/words/ ?

You type in a word and the script searches Flickr for photos to make up the letters. Might be a neat resource for six-word poems.

Thanks for the comment Patricia. The Wii has been popular here as well. Our Physical Education Mentor has been taking a Wii around to schools to use in Phys. Ed classes.

The students love it, but you're right, it is in its early days!
